R. M. Rilke
Who, if I cried out, would hear me among the angels'
hierarchies? and even if one of them suddenly
pressed me against his heart, I would perish
in the embrace of his stronger existence.
For beauty is nothing but the beginning of terror
which we are barely able to endure and are awed
because it serenely disdains to annihilate us.
Each single angel is terrifying.
And so I force myself, swallow and hold back
the surging call of my dark sobbing.
Oh, to whom can we turn for help?
Not angels, not humans;
and even the knowing animals are aware that we feel
little secure and at home in our interpreted world.

Mate in a french press. hmmm. (The hmmm with the wrinkle between the eyes, trying to decide if this is ok or not. That hmmm.) Do you need a mate cup? Straw? Do you know the proper (traditional) way to drink mate?

Please don’t tell me you paid like $8.99 for a very small bag (1kilo or less) of Yerba Mate at a health food store just to brew in a french press!
I learned about mate from the native Chileans who pack a cup full of it, insert a straw and then use hot water out of a thermos to conistently fill up the cup about 20 – 30 times! Mate, Mate Mate, yes Yerba Mate makes the life a better place!
Ok, let me know what kind of mate you have been drinking and I can let you know where to order it from so that you won’t be paying starbuck like prices!
My kids (Rachel 5 years old and Jenna 2 years old) also love the stuff. Maybe I can facebook you some pictures sometime.
